In connection with your agreement on a course and possible membership of Compassion Kadampa Meditation Centre Newcastle, reg. no. 1061893, and for the fulfilment of legal obligations, Compassion Kadampa Meditation Centre Newcastle will, in order to fulfil such agreement and such obligations, need to process certain personal data relating to you. The purposes of the processing for which the personal data is intended and the legal basis for the processing are as follows. The personal data will be processed in order to fulfil Compassion Kadampa Meditation Centre Newcastle’s  obligations and rights under the agreement. Without such personal data, e.g. person names, the membership and course agreement will not practically function in the way it is intended to function (to regulate the participation in a course organised by Compassion Kadampa Meditation Centre Newcastle and the payment of membership and course fees for such course). The legal basis is therefore, in accordance with the GDPR, ‘Performance of a contract’. Furthermore, Compassion Kadampa Meditation Centre Newcastle needs to have access to Compassion Kadampa Meditation Centre Newcastle’s data relating to its members in order to fulfil its legal obligations regarding VAT etc. in relation to the UK Tax Agency etc. and UK tax legislation. In this respect, names and social security numbers are processed.

The recipients of the personal data are the employees of Compassion Kadampa Meditation Centre Newcastle who administer the courses at Compassion Kadampa Meditation Centre Newcastle and handle contact with the UK Tax Agency.

The period during which the personal data will be stored is the time during which the course is conducted and as long as membership runs and data is needed for accounting in relation to the UK Tax Agency and other actors based on obligations under UK law.

You are also informed that you have the right to request access to and rectification or erasure of personal data or restriction of processing concerning you from Compassion Kadampa Meditation Centre Newcastle or to object to processing and the right to data portability.
